everybody scream your heart out
Gatsby had arrived at the Retro Party wearing his usual clothes. He felt like he looked like one of those guys from 80s glam rock bands. He just backcombed his hair a lot more than usual and applied his eyeliner a lot more thickly than usual. For some reason Gatsby hadn’t asked anyone else when they were going to the party and he had just showed up alone, relatively early. He had done a line of cocaine before he had come down so his eyes were wild and his mind was racing. He bolted to the bar and immediately settled himself right in the middle beside the straw holder. He ordered a triple Jack and coke and drummed his fingers impatiently as he waited for it to be given to him. He drank it in three minutes and ordered another. The bar tender gave him one of those looks that said, ‘really, this early?’ And poured him another drink. Gatsby’s head was spinning and he could hardly control his fingers which couldn’t stop drumming. Gatsby began eating peanuts from the bar and the bartender pointed out that there was food over at the other side but Gatsby shook his head and pointed at his drink, “I’m sticking around here buddy!” He laughed and drained his glass before asking for another drink. The bartender pretended not to hear him and went to serve someone else. Gatsby was one for drinking too fast and without a wise bartender to make sure that he wasn’t going to kill himself, Gatsby often got himself into a real mess.

Mia Elizabeth Sala wasn't a huge partier. Despite what everyone seemed to think, she wasn't a huge smoker, drinker or drug user. She smoked every once in a while and drank at parties but it wasn't all the time. When Mia drank, she drank hard. Seeing Gastby Tanner she smiled and walked over. Having a drink in her hand, she moved over next to him, sipping. "Hey fucker." Mia smiled. She was someone who swore a lot and had a mouth on her. It was all in good faith and didn't normally mean for it to offend someone even if she was an offensive person. Mia often offended people on her show "Mia!". To her it wasn't a personal thing. If you got a break on her show you were lucky. She was brutal and it was just business. notes: sorry its short outfit: this took me like a half hour

they call me king of the music scene
Gatsby looked at Mia with a raised eyebrow when he saw her approaching the bar, and he scoffed when she was served her drink. Wasn’t she like 16 or something? Gatsby shrugged it off ruffling his well-ruffled hair with one hand and gesturing to his empty glass with the other. The bartender sighed, replenished his drink and walked away shaking his head. It was at this moment that Mia took the seat beside Gatsby and greeted him in a friendly manner. He smiled at her, “Hey, shortcake!” He said a little more loudly than he needed to. Gatsby took a swig of his drink and narrowed his eyes, “What sort of retro person are you supposed to be?” He demanded, he gestured to himself, “I feel like a fool, I tried so hard to impress with my 80s look!” He smirked at her. In fairness, Gatsby was wearing gold trousers and a Jack Daniels t-shirt with the arms cut out. He was going to wear fingerless gloves but he couldn’t find them. And his hair was just a new level of backcombed and ruffled. He smiled proudly as he studied her tiny outfit, “I mean, I like what you’re wearing and all, but what era are you?”

Mia Elizabeth Sala smiled at his scoff. She liked being on tour. Since it was a party venue no one really cared that she was just sixteen. She worked hard, got her information and flew to LA weekly. Who was to tell her that she couldn't drink? Mia didn't drink much anyway. Hearing the shortcake she rolled her eyes. Mia was alright with Gatsby but sometimes he was annoying as fuck. Nodding in agreement when he said he looked like a fool, she took a sip. "I'm not an era," the dark haired girl told him, glancing him up and down. "Everyone kind of looks stupid." Mia said, breaking eye contact with him, adjusting the zupper on her black-half shirt. Hopefully, the zipper wouldn't fall down. Mia didn't exactly want to show her bra to the entire bar. So far she managed to stay out of the bad press and it was going to stay that way.

raised by wolves
Gatsby laughed and took another long drink of whiskey. He shook his head and whipped around to look at the other people who were in the party area. Not many. In fairness, the people who were there did look pretty silly. So many people dressed as the 60s – hippies and flower children. A couple of people were looking really good as flappers from the 20s but other than that, most people looked silly. Gatsby rolled his eyes and turned back to Mia to find her adjusting her top. “Now, now! I know I look good.” Gatsby quipped with a wicked grin, “But I’m gonna need to see some ID!” His grin prevailed and he watched her face for her reaction. [ooc] super short [/ooc]

Everyone knew about Mia's break up with her boyfriend. She had trashed him so much on her show and with her ex being on the tour it was clear that everyone knew. Rumors flew all the time. "Fuck off, I have a boyfriend." Mia said, when she realized that it slipped she got herself another drink and drank some more. Hoping to get her mind off of things. She should have known Gatsby was joking but Mia wasn't someone who joked around ever.
